Does everyone have a survival pack? Does everyone actually need a survival pack? Well, if you were to ask me, I believe everyone should have one, especially if you plan on spending any time outdoors. Would you agree that it is absolutely a good idea to be somewhat prepared at all times? Emergency situations happen every day. If you're a hunter, a fisherman, a hiker, or a camper, you spend a lot of time in the woods and along streams. The chance of getting lost or hurt while out there is real. How will you handle it if you can not be found for a while or even days? A smaller condensed version might be what you need to keep in your car or with you in your hiking or camping gear such as the compact Garrow's Guns & Arrows survival kit, or you may feel it necessary to have absolutely everything you need. I not only have the will to survive, but feel the need to thrive in that situation, and I enjoy the wild more so than most of my day to day activities. If you already enjoy a bushcraft life, are a survivalist, or a wild edible forager, than you'd probably enjoy and prosper in the great outdoors as much or more than I do. Unfortunately, many people are not, but still require basic essentials in case of emergency. I have provided a list and picture of what I actually carry in my personal pack. Here is my pack and what I feel is necessary for my family and I to survive the wild. To start the list, it is very important to me to carry a couple knives. I also carry a small sharpening stone along with them. Next will be multiple sources of fire starting equipment just in case, char cloth, a medical kit, A sewing kit, a mini shovel tool, writing utensils, fishing supplies, emergency hand crank radio flashlight with Noaa weather band, I have a mosquito net, an emergency blanket, multiple compact flashlights with batteries, eating utensils, personal hygiene products, a camo tarp with reflective blanket on the inside, I carry a 12 gauge shotgun and 22 chamber adapter, 22 rounds, 12 ga defense and hunting rounds, a couple MRE's, spare wool socks, spare gloves, an aluminum water bottle to heat water and purify, a liquid filled compass, A wire saw, hand warmers, And I also carry three throwing knives that are shaped like spear heads for the just that reason. All of the gear I carry is to aid in feeding my family and protect us from dangers. Everything you see in the pictures packs away nicely and compact. I am constantly trying to improve the items I use, the weight of my pack, and the consolidation of items into multi use products. That will further lighten and improve versatility. You'll find most of what you need to have on hand, in our store. Please have a look at our survival page and see what you'll need. Every person's needs are different, but we all have the same basic requirements to live. Water, food, and air. If you are reading this post, thank you for visiting and your support. We all appreciate it here at Garrow's Guns & Arrows!!!
